At Tanaka Sekkai Kogyo, we believe “fulfilling our social responsibility” is an essential element in operating our business and maintaining sustainability is a key social responsibility.
We recognize the environmental and social impact our operations have and pledge to minimize that impact while continuing to provide high-quality products and services.
Since our founding, the theme of “business activities rooted in supporting and protecting the community” has been a pivotal focus in maintaining positive communication with local residents during mining operations, with “community commitment” deeply ingrained in the core values of our company.
Community contributions
- Environmental education opportunities through factory tour and outreach programs
We regularly provide factory tour teaching plastic recycling with more than 5000 visitors until the first half of 2018.
- Employment of disabled individuals
Since our operations began at the Kochi Plastic Recycling Center in 2005, we have actively hired individuals with disabilities. Currently, six individuals with severe disabilities are employed at our company and perform the same work as non-disabled employees.
